These success stories stay true for Berkshire County as well because of our dedicated volunteers. We service about 75-100 children per year throughout Berkshire County. We have two types of programs that the children can be involved in. Our Traditional Program matches an adult with a youth for a one year commitment. In our school/site based Programs we match high school students, one-to-one, with elementary students in a supervised setting. The students meet at designated school or community buildings on a specific day after school or on a weekend day to engage in various activities, such as homework help, arts and crafts or playing in the gym.
There is an overwhelming need for Big Brothers and Big Sisters as we have many children throughout Berkshire County who are in need of a positive adult role model. Currently we have children waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister in many areas of the county.
